A few recent & slightly unorthodox live wedding acts.

We’ve had a real slew of great live wedding acts come through the virtual doors recently and we appear to be getting a reputation for being accommodating of the slightly more left-of-field acts. Observe:

Worbey and Farrell are one of the world’s most entertaining and unique piano acts. Revolutionary in their treatment of the traditional piano duet, they push the boundaries of the instrument using it to illuminate music of every style – classical, popular and contemporary. Steven Worbey and Kevin Farrell, graduates of the Royal College of Music, made a unique transition from muted performers to dazzling showmen without every compromising their music. In only a few years they have achieved well over half a million hits on YouTube, performed all over the world in their role as an astounding iconoclastic solo act and with the world’s leading symphony orchestras.

The Retrosettes (pictured) are a vintage band that make new songs sound old and old songs sound retro. Chic and cool, they take popular songs currently in the charts and classic songs we all know and give them the Retrosettes treatment. Their influences are very varied including Motown and Northern soul, Funk, Jazz, New Orleans Rhythm and Blues and Reggae. The vintage sound is created with instruments from the 60s and 70s and played with a love of classic music from that period.

Brixton Tea Party refreshes the parts other jazz bands cannot reach, brewing up an irresistible blend of hot tunes from the 1920s with a spoonful of charleston and more than a dash of fun. With a classic line-up of clarinet, trombone, banjo, double bass, drums and vocals, this highly entertaining band will set you on the sunny side of the street, whatever the weather!

The Courtelles are undoubtedly the premier ’60s tribute band covering the South and South East of England. The Courtelles are a top class, high performance 4-piece band, who are available for dances, weddings, corporate functions, ‘Sixties-theme’ parties, fetes and other social occasions. The band emulate a truly authentic sound from the most famous of decades and guarantee to have you up dancing from the moment they kick-off.
