A band the likes of which you will certainly not have seen before, the Trans-Siberian March Band (TSMB) are a riot of colour and sound and have been described as “The Sex Pistols of Balkan Brass” (Time Out).
Highly entertaining, lots of fun and impossible not to dance to, TSMB are the ideal act for weddings, parties and any other kind of celebration.
They have played many of the UK's major festivals, recently sending crowds wild at Glastonbury Festival, The Secret Garden Party, The Thames Festival, Meltdown Festival, Henley Festival and several Last Tuesday Society masked balls, to name but a few.
Appealing to audiences of all ages and cultures, TSMB’s borderless bag of musical styles includes their own arrangements of Balkan, Klezmer, Ska, Turkish, Russian, Albanian and Latin tunes and several home-grown numbers from their guitarist Nicko Nezna. Amongst their many influences are Fanfare Ciocarlia, Boban Markovic, Emir Kustirica, Goran Bregovic, Madness, The Specials and Gogol Bordello.
This London based troupe of thirteen musicians are a heady mix of culture, cabaret and carnival. With ever stranger and progressively more outrageous costumes, TSMB look as loud as they sound and always put on a spectacular show.
Where are they based?
The band are based in London but regularly play across the UK and in Europe
