The band are based in the popular tourist resort of Newquay, Cornwall, and have great success playing in the big holiday maker bars and clubs around town such as Stable, Belushis, Red Lion and Whiskers
The Sinking of the Goodship Rosa are Cornwall's newest and freshest Americana band. It is the coming together of two Scottish music professionals, Craig and Aaron, who have been very lucky over the years to undertake world tours with various acts and work with some world class producers and record labels.
Now, both having met through coincidence in beautiful Newquay, the band are enjoying the Cornish pace of life and indulging their shared love of all things Americana. Their live show brings together a mixture of well known and contemporary tracks which at once get the toes tapping and the blood stirring. You are bound to hear them give new life to their favourite well known hits from Johnny Cash, The Eagles and Simon & Garfunkel, whilst at the same time interspersing where required with the odd tune to tug at the heart strings from more modern acts such as Ray Lamontagne, Fleet Foxes and Old Crow Medicine Show. It is this seamless blending of the old world with the new which describes the Good Ship Rosa's niche.
As such the Rosa are every bit as much at home entertaining large crowds of party goers when the night is in full swing, as they would be creating bespoke, sweet sounding heart breakers perfect for your wedding ceremony. With so many years of top level entertaining experience behind them, they could hardly fail to provide the perfect atmosphere for any type of special moment or celebration.
