The band are based in Manchester and are available to hire UK wide.

Standard Set Times

  • Two 45 minute sets or three 30 minute sets
  • There is also an option to provide a DJ to support the event and carry on the party with music of a similar style.

About this Act

The Rubber Duck Orchestra with its line up of 7 brassy, stomping, dancing musicians have an affinity with any crowd and will fill the dance floor as they weave Balkan, Roma, Klezmer and Swing into an unabashed frenetic vibe! The band have a huge admiration for Eastern European styles and vitality they will fill your ears with Balkan Stomp madness. They perform a combination of original music, Roma favourites and the haunting echoes of Armenian and Macedonian Folk melodies.

Their name dates back to their birth on a Barge on a Mancunian Canal four years ago and since then they have entertained crowds at festivals such as WOMAD, Boomtown Fair Festival, The Invisible Circus and Birmingham's Hot Club de Swing. Such a versatile party band, gigs at Chorlton Arts Festival, Swing & Shout Manchester, Norvun Sundays, Hot Damn! @Liars Club, The Underworld Carnival, local events, weddings, pub gigs, parties and fundraisers have showcased their energy and theatrical excitement and not least their affinity with any crowd and any stage!

2016 is an exciting time for this explosive band as they launch their latest EP 'The Eternal Chase Begins' in May 2016 before a busy festival tour and wedding season.

The band play a combination of original songs as well as their own arrangements of Roma favourites, klezmer melodies and the haunting echoes of Armenian and Macedonian Folk melodies.
