The band are based in Scotland's central belt and work all over the UK and in Europe
The Ugly Bug Ragtime Three (or four or five or whatever you need it to be!) is a fantastic little band with a big, big sound specialising in the joyful music of the roaring '20s and the Golden Age of Jazz. Led by John Burgess on clarinet and saxophones and more than abely assisted by the banjo and guitar wizardry of Ross Milligan and the always elegantly grooving double bass of Andy Sharkey.
The band has built a huge reputation all over the country with it's top quality swinging happy music and excellent presentation. The guys have played clubs and festivals all over the UK and Europe and played with many of the top names in UK traditional jazz, Roy Williams, Enricco Tomasso, Digby Fairweather, Stephanie Trick and many, many others
