The band are based in North Northumberland and regularly perform throughout the North of England and South of Scotland. They are willing to travel further afield depending on the occasion.
Summerland - the unique blend of musicality and versatility featuring the spine-tingling lead vocals of Sophie, who is one of the 100 judging panel, as seen on BBC One's 'Altogether Now, backed up by the dynamic acoustic guitar of Gary. Specialising in taking classic rock and pop songs and reinventing them for a 100% live performance, they have been entertaining audiences across the north-east of England and the Scottish Borders since 2009, and regularly perform at pubs, parties, weddings and festivals.
Depending on the event, Summerland can provide a wide variety of material, playing anything from a set of intimate non-intrusive songs (featuring a selection of classic jazz standards), to more up-beat modern hits designed to get feet tapping and fill a dance floor.
This accomplished adaptability is undoubtably one of the reasons for Summerland's success as, together with Sophie's jaw-dropping vocal range, it means there are very few songs that the duo can't perform.
