The band are based in Dunfermline in Fife and are happy to play most places in Scotland and north of England.
Sphere are an exciting, powerful, modern sounding band of exceptional musicians, that will bring class, quality and fun to your evening, with a few musical surprises thrown in. With soulful female and male vocals, decades of experience and expertise, you can rely on Sphere to deliver. The current line up is a 4 piece core but have an option to be a 5 piece.
Blending pop, rock and soul with a few alternative versions, the band aim to keep your dance floor full all night, whether your guests are 18 or 80 there will be something for them in the set.
It is also possible that the guitarist can provide about an hour of acoustic style songs earlier in the event day.
"Having filmed many bands for over a decade, and others I have seen over the last 38 years Sphere stands out as one of the best I have ever filmed/seen. They give their all and are superb live. (if i did not see this with my own eyes, I would have thought i was listening to a mimed pre-recorded performance)
If I did not see this with my own eyes and only heard a recording I would have assumed I was listening to a mimed pre-recorded performance."

"As the Assistant Manager at The Tormaukin Hotel, Glendevon, I hired Sphere to play Hogmanay 2016. Though booked through a third party the band went above and beyond to create a fantastic evening for our guests. Firstly, the band came to look round the venue, to discuss where would be best to set up, where the dance floor would be and the best way to perform their set. They were extremely accommodating, adding extra Ceilidh songs to their set, as we requested them. On the day itself the band arrived early, as expected, to set up before the event and had everything in place well before dinner service started.
As is the case with my functions the meal over-ran its expected finishing time, but the band were relaxed and started as soon as we were ready for them. They were fantastic, the range of music they played was perfect for the event, including mixing Ceilidh into their cover set to provide a range of music for our guests. Their energy and enthusiasm where infectious and many guest commented on how much fun they had during the evening. The band introduced their songs, called the Ceilidh dances and interacted brilliantly with the audience. They even went above and beyond their contract, playing later than expected and performing encores which they did not charge extra for. Their focus was on providing a brilliant night for the guests at the Hotel, which they definitely did.
I would love to hire and work with this band again, one of the most accommodating and best function bands I have worked with in my time working in events and catering."
"Sphere hosted the Sunday Service on 18th September and had the place rocking with classic dance tunes and love songs. If I ever get married again, they will be the go to band!"
Robin Hunter: Creator and organiser of the Edinburgh SUNDAY SERVICE music afternoon
“We had Sphere host our Retro night event in March and they were fantastic. They arrived and set up in plenty of time for the event and they played a range of music which was spot on for our retro night, they got all of the guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. Background music was played while the guests enjoyed their meal and then the party started.
I would be delighted to work with Sphere again on any event and would certainly recommend to any of our brides & grooms”.
