About this Act

Janis Joplin Revisited is Britain's premier (and as far as we know the only) tribute to the late, great Janis Joplin. The band covers all three of Janis's bands, the psychedelic blues of Big Brother & The Holding Company, the soul tinged Kozmic Blues Band and her final rocking Full Tilt Boogie Band whose career was ended with her tragic death in 1970.

Janis Joplin Revisited is a re-formed line up of previous Janis tribute, Kozmic, which ceased operations in 2008 when Chris (Janis) and bass player Pete moved to Australia for a few years. Pete & Chris are joined here by original guitarist Arnie Stapleton, keyboard player Toni Baker who also plays with 60s legends The Dakotas and the funky Groovemental and ex- Kinks Tribute man Martin Brewster on drums.

Performances blend the 3 periods of her career into one consistent whole including her greatest moments: Me & Bobby McGee, Piece Of My Heart, Try (Just A Little Bit Harder), To Love Somebody, Ball & Chain and more.
