Blue Saphron are a piano/vocal duo featuring two young professional musicians; Heather Scott-Smith and Catriona Campbell.
As a Piano/Vocal duo they have an instinctive, heartfelt approach that can suit all tastes and enhance the ambience of any special occasion.
Heather and Catriona deliver an emotive, memorable and acoustic sound whilst performing soulful songs in their own unique style. Blue Saphron perform a wide repertoire of music from Soul, R+B and Motown classics right up to contemporary popular songs.
Their performances are always well received by audiences of all ages.
Heather and Catriona are both music graduates.
Heather specialised at Southampton University in Jazz singing under the tutelage of the British jazz singer, Ian Shaw. Heather has performed with Ian Shaw in prestigious jazz venues in London such as Pizza on the Park, Knightsbridge. She has also performed as a soloist in gospel choirs and sang with an established funk function band.
Catriona obtained a BA Music Performance degree from Perth College. She studied Jazz, Folk and other contempary/popular styles. Catriona was pianist for Perth College Big Band performing in Gleneagles and Glasgow Hilton at high profile events. She then joined a very successful wedding function band called 'Rock n Reel' where she played at weddings across Scotland. She has also done some studio work with the singer Ray Wilson, from Stiltksin and Genesis.
Blue Saphron can provide music for any event or special occasion. They are paricularly suited to entertaining guests as they eat/socialise.
They can also perform during wedding ceremonies.
Blue Saphron can accomodate a song request for your special day.
