About the Band

The Backbeats are an outstanding covers band playing hits from the 50’s to present day. Their package starts as a basic 3-piece band; can be a 4/5-piece; ultimately expanding to a 7-piece with the full sound of a brass section, or as a complete contrast the duo playing an up-right bass and acoustic guitar can be booked. If you require a little light entertainment, which doesn't get in the way of a good conversation they can supply the musicians to suit any event.

The musicians are all seasoned players, each with over 20 years of experience within the music-industry. Individually they have toured throughout the U.K. playing original material, as well as many classic songs required for all types of events.

Soul, Funk, Blues, Rock n Roll, Jazz, RnB, African, Reggae, Rock, In fact most popular styles.

Smaller venues like local pubs and clubs, corporate functions and weddings at many hotels including, The Hiltons in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Gleneagles, Dalmahoy Country Club, tented venues like The Edinburgh Book Festival; larger music venues in Edinburgh include The Jam House, The Playhouse, Princes St. Gardens, and Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow.

This diversity of experience and background contributes to a highly professional approach, both individually and collectively. Whatever the line-up they will be sensitive to all that you require, musically or otherwise!
